When we had our visit in ICT Incubation Center at Brokenshire College it was so exciting because basically it was the first time to go there and I think that was too cool. I have already many things inside my head to what is the ICT Incubation Center looks like but still has a lot of questions to what it is all about.
The first thing that we did was that Brokenshire College under their IT department gave us an orientation to what is about the ICT Incubation Center, to what it might cater for us who are interested to pursue our business ideas. The orientation lasted maybe around 30-40 minutes and within that time allotted all our questions were answered. We were told many things like how to be part of the Incubation Center; we were given the process on how to start with them as a small business and the signing of contracts. There I knew that the Brokenshire College will gain 30% of the profit I think of the business that emerge in their Incubation Center if and only if the business plan of the group is successful. As what the speaker said: “If the team fails, we also fail” which is very crucial for the Brokenshire College. Because when you are in the Incubation Center you are given 1 year free supply of utilities like electricity, high speed internet connection, water supply, and more.
After the brief orientation we went down to see for ourselves the 11 colorful container vans that were made to be utilized as work space for starters on the business aspect. And there we saw the 11 container vans which will be used as workspace whenever we will pursue our business ideas, the ICT Incubation Center will help us nourish our business ideas so that it could be able to stand on the market and be part of the business industry. Everything that was on my mind became a reality when I saw these container vans. It now gives us some reasons to pursue our business ideas and somehow we could be part of the ICT Incubation Center one day if we really wish to use our business idea as a startup for a business.
In conclusion, we still need to refine further our business ideas if ever we wish to apply at ICT Incubation Center so that we will not have a hard time to refine it again and again, utilize the time that is given. Strive and work hard for that goal so that we could attain it and be happy and successful. J
